ETHAN CHANG

FLAME ARTIST / COMPOSITOR / MOTION DESIGNER / Visual Storyteller

I’m a New York–based Flame Artist
working in video post-production in the United States.

My work has moved through many forms and contexts, from international commercial campaigns to Hollywood television productions, and visuals displayed on the big screens of Times Square. These shifts in scale and environment continue to shape how I think about video, visual storytelling, and the spaces they occupy, informing the creative language behind my work.

From Idea to Delivery

In a video production team, I contribute by providing clear execution and steady direction across the full video post-production process.

I’ve led Flame sessions and supported projects from early story development through editing, refinement, and final delivery—aligning visual storytelling, technical decisions, and timelines along the way. My role often involves guiding revisions, resolving creative and technical issues, and keeping work focused and cohesive from start to finish.

What is a Flame Artist?

Flame is a professional video
post-production software widely used in the U.S. commercial production industry.

A Flame Artist works within video post-production, focusing on the moments where creative intent and technical reality meet.

The role involves shaping visuals through compositing, refinement, and integration, often at points where decisions carry significant impact on the final result. Beyond tools or software, the work is about judgment—knowing when to adjust, when to preserve, and how to guide a piece toward clarity and cohesion before it reaches its audience.
